I hate to sound like a Mashstix mod, but as good as this mashup is, I can't help but think it would be much better if Lynyrd's acapella had some reverb/effects to help it match the instrumental. He seems to be too far "out front." But a very enjoyable listen regardless.
Never a problem. I appreciate your thoughtful suggestion.
I did initially try the vocal in different styles of tone. I found that the vocals did what you say in headphones, but in speakers, ( especially surround sound ) they seemed to shine this way.
Mainly, I strengthened the sound wave, & added very slight separation to the vocal.
To each his own, I say. I do have the fodder saved, & will do a variant mix also.
I hope it doesn't make it too trippy.
( I was striving to make it as trippy as possible, actually )

Aha, well, in fairness, I was listening to this one through headphones. Apparently I would do well to give it another listen under more optimal conditions.
